As I mentioned in my last blog, I went up to MK to get my new laptop. I decided on a Fujitsu S6510N. My last laptop was a Fujitsu P7010, and it lasted a good four plus years, so I decided to stick with a trusted name. But I wanted a faster processor than a P-series level ultraportable...

I spent most of last night restoring my software and files. I have to give a shout-out to the program 'Memeo Autobackup'... I got it free with my last external hard drive, it automatically syncs your files with a back-up copy on the external drive in the background when you're not using your computer. It leaves a file called 'one touch auto restore' or something like that, and basically you just click on it and next thing you know it starts copying all your files back... not too bad! I still have some work to do to catch up, but at least now I can work...

While I was backing up my files I found some old old photos in my bluetooth folder... here's 2004:

Wow, if nothing else we can say that phone camera technology has improved a great deal in the last 5 years. :-P

renren - my P7010's fan started making all kinds of noises about two year ago, but it was still working well other than that... the battery life was still ~2-3 hours despite being 4+ years old.

i was thinking about getting a macbook, since their features + price are not bad compared to some of the windows machines, but its big and heavy...

I think it's time for me to get a new laptop. I've had it for almost 4 years and the batter has stop charging. This damn ibook won't even sync with my nano.
