Catchin' up - Boat Trip last weekend

Another boat trip with less than cooperative weather...  もう一度船パーティしたので、もう一度天気あまり良くなかった。。。出たの前が天気良かったから、人一杯参加したけど、速く悪になった！

We did another boat trip last weekend with the usual suspects and a few new friends.  LUCKILY the weather was really nice in the morning, so we got a really good turn out, but very quickly the weather went south...

Before we even got out of HK harbor it was raining.  this time we went to Deep Water Bay on the south side of HK (as opposed to our normal destination of Saikung to the east).  


While passing through the crowded waters near Aberdeen we had to slow down to squeeze through.


they were doing some sort of boat race... but not the typical Hong Kong dragon boating... this time it was...　何ですか？船ラース？龍船ですか？


huh?!?  some sort of ladies' 2-woman sculling? (rowing w/ one oar)
ＷＴＦ？！これ何ですか？


Eventually we were out to our destination and Stephen was the first in the water.


Stephen looked lonely so a few people decided to jump in with him...   the weather was turning really bad at a few spots (see Patrick's 'i almost got sweeped out to sea' blog).

We did wakeboarding again, but I didn't bring my camera so no pictures this time.  I feel like i'm getting the hang of it though.  my first run especially was quite long (a few minutes even?)  by the end my arms were killing me (mostly because of this activity the day before...)


We headed back and the weather got worse... by the time we got back to the drop-off point at the CWB water front,  it was pouring... 　帰った時天気もと悪になった、雨強く降った！


Desperate times call for desperate measures:

I give you... Derelicte!



ps - i of course had an umbrella with me, so I didn't need to be so... resourceful. :-P
