I'm not sure if you've noticed... but Japanese people, especially Japanese people on vacation like to take a LOT of pictures of their food...

日本人は旅行時、食事の写真を毎回撮っている。

Exhibit A: Dinner on Saturday

This was actually lunch on Saturday, at a 餐廳 in Kowloon City:

Well if you've got a good camera, you gotta flaunt it! I'd take food pics if mine looked anywhere near as appertising

And I take pics of EVERYTHING I eat. It's part of my "recording diet".
