Karaoke Birthday...

For some reason we've been going to a lot of birthday parties, and a lot of karaoke nights... and sometimes they're both... birthday parties at karaoke! :-P
最近たくさん誕生日パーティーが有った、カラオケも良く行った。。。するとよくカラオケで誕生日パーティーが有った！先火曜日も一回を参加した。


This one was quite a big affair actually, total was like 30+ people throughout the course of the night.  we didn't get there til like 10 or 11, but it was still going when we left around 2 or 3... 全部30人上が行った。大かった！


One thing about these karaoke places is how much branding they do for alcohol companies...  in this case it was Johnny Walker - who have been making a big push in HK, China and Taiwan with their 'Keep Walking' campaign.  Here at this karaoke, they had their logo and slogan on everything, the ice buckets, the dice cups, the waiter's aprons, you name it...

but i was blown away to find out they even have the guy from the commercial here to promote:

"Keep Walking!"

Actually he doesn't just endorse drinks,  he also lends his name power to fashion too. 

Case in point:

Yes, some sort of alligator themed fashion brand.    Perhaps only one man in HK has the panache to pull off something this bold! 　センスは如何ですか？好き？かいたい？


Yes, you saw it right... the shoes come w/ ornamental eyes! 目も有るよ！


I'm a bit more reserved in my fashion tastes, but these are definitely attention-getters!
