Takahashi Jun - Undercover Hong Kong Event!

Last Friday our friends at 'Silly Thing'  hosted a cool party over at the Happy Valley Race Course...  It was a 'live performance' by artist/designer Takahashi Jun.   I'm not a fashion person, but I'm told he's pretty well known in the fashion industry and he also has a strange side-hobby - making creepy looking 'dolls'....  we got a life demonstration!
先週末、ハッピーバーレーの競馬場ですごい面白いかったのイベントを参加した。高橋じゅんのＵｎｄｅｒｃｏｖｅｒイベントだった、香港の会社Ｓｉｌｌｙ　Ｔｈｉｎｇ主人役した。僕の写真を見てください。

This is the final product...  a creepy alien looking thing made out of pipes, light bulbs, doll clothes and yes... the skins of teddy bears.... 


The hands were the creepiest part. :-P

Its not my kind of art... but I guess some people think this is really cool, otherwise they wouldn't have brought him down for it.

Thanks to PemaPema-chan,  I was able to meet Takahashi-san -

(i am being blinded by the bizarre eyes of that doll thing!)

He was nice, I told him to check out our site. :-P

More than the doll thing, what made this a really good event was the turnout of cool people.  A lot of friends there and we had a good time.  Personally  I reached a milestone in my social life, showing up with not one, not two, not three... but FOUR young females in tow.

But Etchy is no 'Playa'... two are our AnD interns and two are friends from Japan. ;-)

Fun night! and it wasn't over!
