Tokyo August pt 8 - Ninja Restuarant! 忍者レストラン

wow, its been a week since we were in Tokyo! Let me try to pump out a few more interesting Japan blogs before I get too far behind! :-P

秋葉の後、銀座で友達と一緒食事した、とても美味しかった、ユミは上手で食べ物選べた。美味しかった！

After Akiba we met up with a few of our Tokyo friends for some delicious dinner:

(No this wasn't a 合コン... and yes, i kept wearing my geek t-shirt the whole night).



While at dinner it was suggested we visit the famous Ninja Restuarant in Akasaka,  you may remember it from such Daniel Wu blogs as this one - "Ninjas and Stuff"...　食べて終わった後、一緒飲むために忍者レストランへ行った。ダニエル・ウーのブログから知っていますか？

Ironically on the way out to get a taxi, I managed to see a few real life ninjas at work:


After a short taxi ride, we were at our destination:


Inside the door at ninja guy comes out of a secret door and takes you through a secret passage into a dark cave looking ninja hide-away.  we got a private room... and ordered the ninja cocktails:

all very exotic in name and color...   Megu apparently can't wait. ;-)

yes, mio joined us for the ninja party.  She suggested we order the ninja oysters:

which include some pyrotechnics (the ninja waiter lights up a fuse, when it burns down to the end there's a small flash...)

Before going (there were complaints that the ninjas mix weak drinks!), we stopped for photos w/ the staff:

the hilarious thing was - when we posed for this picture it was just with the guy in the middle,  when i looked at the picture the next day in my camera I was like "where the hell did that girl ninja come from? i don't even remember her being there!"  .... this is the power of ninja!

We headed out to our next spot...  the カラオケ。。。
