Tokyo Oct 08: Wrap-up!

Yes, I'm at the LAST set of pictures from my October trip to Tokyo for the Tokyo International Film Festival (and Ramen eating binge).   

Here's a few of the 'left overs' that didn't make it into the other blogs:

I snuck a picture of the booth next to mine for the sake of this blog entry... Patrick had finished his noodles and pork, so he did a re-order...  


BTW, after seeing KB's blog a few weeks back, I bought one of these at a convenience store just to give it a try:

Pepsi White = Pepsi & Yogurt Flavor!?!?

(long time etchy blog readers will recall I also tried the Ice Cucumber Pepsi back in June '07... with mixed results.

Here's my review of this one:

Aftertaste was quite strong....  but to be fair,   if you can make it past the first three or four gulps, you get used to it and it doesn't taste that bad.  I DID finish it....

I had a chance to go used CD shopping in Japan for the first time in like 6 months.  I found a BOOK OFF, my preferred used CD outlet.  I got some good deals:

9 CDs for only ~US$15... which is high for me.  This time I splurged and got four albums, which run about $2.50 each (1 Hamasaki regular album, 2 Hamasaki Remix albums and an Utada,  and I also got five singles which cost $1 each - (3 Hamasakis and a Nakashima Mika).


Speaking of Hamasaki Ayumi,  I saw her a few times while in Japan this time:

And a big big one in Shibuya...


(her 'A Complete All Singles' compilation was released the month before...  Since I have many (most?)  of them already,  I don't need to buy this one i think...) :-P
