Movies and Royal Tea

I went out to see Get Smart on Friday.  I haven't really seen the original series except for one or two episodes so I didn't have much to compare to.  Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway had really good on-screen chemistry and the movie was overall pretty funny.  It's probably more of a movie that you rent rather than go to the theatre to see but it's still a good one.



Finally got around to watching 'Little Manhattan' which came  out probably 3 years ago.  It's such a sweet simple story of first loves and I really enjoyed it.  It brought back memories of those puppy love days in elementary school :)   The soundtrack to the movie was also very good.

I went for a Royal tea and tour today at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald.  It's the nicest hotel in the city and is also a historical building.  I had my university grad banquet there - the exterior is done in gothic style and still has gargoyles surrounding the hotel.  Not very big ones, but still pretty cool.  The royal tea is basically 'high tea' and was pretty good - a bit pricey but my friend and I have wanted to try it for a while.
