I just finished watching 最美麗的第七天 (The Seventh Day) and I really enjoyed it. But I'll admit that in the beginning I wasn't really that "excited" about it; mainly because of the storyline for Bosco. But as it progressed, I got hooked (like I always do) hahaa... and in the end, it is a very lovely series. Kinda bitter-sweet though. Definitely had my share of tears.

I really really love Kevin Cheng's character in it. He's so lovable and not to mention... good looking!!!~ and I have to admit, the storyline for Kevin and Niki Chow is very touching and sweet. Niki's acting skills improved quite a bit too. the doggie, Jack, in the series is so cute! he's a super-smart dog... I really enjoyed watching him as a character in the series too... haha...

From watching this series, I asked myself this question; given the situation that I am ill with a disease that has no cure at the moment, would I tell my boyfriend, or would I tell a lie, break-up with him and avoid him? It's a tough decision. If I know that I will die soon, I wouldn't want him to know; but at the same time, I would love him by my side (but that may be the selfish thought, I guess.) that's a really tough situation and I have no real answer as to what I would do... Gosh, I hope I will never ever be in a situation like this or witness this to happen... I wish everyone good health!!!!

Nice setting in Japan scenery, yes agree it will not happen in real life.

I just watched these guys in Under the Canopy of Love recently. This drama sounds a bit more heavy that that one. I feel like this kind of plotline is used so much in dramas and movies. It's good for drama but not really the right thing to do in real life IMO. Then the person who's left behind has no clue.

I've seen that before in these dramas. Not just Chinese. Someone's very will and decides to break up to spare the other the "pain." It makes for a more interesting drama-fest. In real life, if it's someone close, shouldn't you give that person the option to leave or stay? Maybe that decision would be too much of a burden for the healthy party.

I guess another question is, under those circumstances, do you really want to find out what the boyfriend's really made of? It takes a strong loving person to love and caretake and watch someone's decline. So as in everything else, it depends. If it's really a tight relationship then, yes, for better and for worse.

i finished it long time ago and i gotta say i do admire the chemisty between kevin and niiki what a lovely couple. Kevin's love for Nikki is so sweet, geesh hard to find those guys now a days.

i couldn't complete it!! what was the dog's name again? jackjack? LoL! it was so adorable. especially when he helped search for the accesories on her cellphone.

anyway, i think it's not only her decision to make...to just runaway and leave her loved one alone not knowing what happened. might as well spend the remaining time happily together. at least there's a memory to share. this is just like their first series isn't it? the one with flora chan. TAT WAS SO SAD!!!

Well, that's a toughie. I guess I always maintain that honesty is the best policy so I would tell him. To me, by not telling the truth, you are not allowing that person to make his/her own decisions on how involved they want to be. They might feel angered at your passing if they were never told. People need closure. Just as we should never go to bed mad at somebody else, we shouldn't leave this world with people we love holding grudges and bitterness toward our memories. That's deep. Time for bed! =)

Sounds a good story.
Difficult decision but I think I'd tell them, because if/when you die, they would be bound to find out sometime and would probably be upset they didn't get to be with us, and make them feel more sad.

This drama will be showing on our TVB channel soon. Can't wait! Good to hear that Kevin has a lovable character once again. I've heard the ending is quite sad (don't tell me tho hee). I wish I'll never be in that situation either. Personally I will definitely tell my other half cos I would want to sharing my remaining time with him.
