Today I get another surprise email from a design friend asking to see if I could help her with building her website. these are pleasant surprises that I don't mind. We are still in the talks of everything, so I'm not sure if the project will go through or not. But there may be a chance...

And remember, maybe about a month ago I blogged about another design friend who emailed me to get in on a project with her; well she wrote up the contract / proposal for us. And right now we are trying to work up a design for our client. Things are not quite as smooth as we wish it to be. But we're trying and hopefully things will turn out for the better.

But seeing how design friends would come to me and "help" me, makes me feel so grateful and happy. As I've mentioned before, I'm actually a shy person, so I didn't socialize much while at school. But I would talk to people from the classes and made a few good friends from the design department. I remember clearly that one of the professors said, "All of you should be nice to each other because you'll never know, maybe someone in this class will become your boss." It's kinda true. And I did just that.

well except for some people who I knew right away I could care less about them. I'm the person that believes, if you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you too; but if you're gonna start crap with me, I make sure to give you the crap. (you know, it's what comes around goes around)

Another life lesson learned... be nice to people and don't burn your own bridges... you'll never know what will happen in the future. If you're nice, people will remember it and when you need help, they will be there to help you. But you should do the same for others as well.

nice that they're helping u, and u should use these chances as much as u can! u should also be proactive in contacting ur old schoolmates if u need work.

treat people how you would like to be treated.. thats what my mother always says!!

and my teachers told me that to, in my first year of college.. the whole 'be nice thing, he could be your boss in the next 5-10 yrs'.. lol.. i plan on being my own boss.. but their right..!!

i try to take everyones advice.. just because i know that they have been there, and done that.. so they would know first-hand...

life lesson well learnt!!

That's so true Jane. I believe this too. Good for you. I'm sure you'll do great with the project and hope it goes through. Who does this cute face belong too? It sort of looks like the little guy with the green body - but not CJ7.

jade is a biggest fan of CJ7, she gets crazy when she spot a CJ7 toy in a car, on someone's bag or mobile. sometimes she sees things too fast and spot this as CJ7! and we will all laugh together!

Have you found your once-in-a-lifetime friend? be sure to not lose that friend. My once-in-a-lifetime friend is my mom. She's totally awesome because she's more like a sister/friend to me. We are really close and I love her so much!!
