    There's a hill fire near my house... I can see it thru the kitchen window...

    started since 7:30pm tonight and just looking out now, it's still going and looks like the fire is going down hill... not a good thing... if my sense of direction is correct, there may be some houses in danger right now...

    and the wind isn't help at all...

    oh no that's dreadful. I hope it has all been halted now and no one was in danger.Like nature needs a helpinghand in being destroyed. Hill and forest fires are awful.

    HOLLY SMOKES!!!! That's crzy close to your house.. hope they tame it so it doesn't spread...i do hope everyone is alright in that area and YOU GUYS too.. all that fume can't be good... u should teach Pebbles to dial 911..the smoke fumes will get to him last.. =X but of course KNOCK ON WOOD!

    Reminds me of all the fires that were burning all last summer in so cal. They were burning for so long that the sky was a ugly shade of brown yellow for a week.

    just checked the news again... now it's morning... 9am... it's 75% contained... and some 200+ people were evacuated but were able to return home... reports doesn't show any homes being burnt... so that's good...

    but the air is really smokey out there... *ack*

    That Brisbane fire! Wonder if it's under control now. It's mostly brush that's burning, isn't it?

    We had a fire similar to that next to our house. We're 3 houses from the brush. Really short brush so no danger of trees burning up. We were told to evacuate too. The guy at the last house wouldn't leave. I wouldn't either.
