almost real

I was browsing around today and came upon some old Spice Girls videos... it reminded me of the Spice Girl hype... hahaa...  I remember my younger cousins were really into them... we spent one summer at my uncle's place in Vegas and we went to see a show that may be "Legends in Concert" or something of that sort... Impersonator Show... I remember some of the performers included: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Gloria Estefan, Elvis, and of course Spice Girls... it was really really hilarious b/c my cousins were so freakin' happy that they were jumping up and down and singing ever so loudly and dancing... it was awesome... I think they might have been... 7 or 8 years old, I think... so they believed it was the real singers... 

after the show, the singers stayed around and was taking pictures with the audience... we managed to get in pictures with Madonna and I think the Spice Girls... I think my cousins couldn't sleep that night... we took the film to get it processed... but we got a phone call saying that the film got messed up during the processing and it was exposed to light, so the film was destroyed... when my cousins found out, they were crying... but there was nothing we could do... I was too even though I knew they were impersonators... they were almost real... it was pretty awesome... hahaa...

oh... I miss those summers/holidays when our family got together... we're all "grown-up" now... and they have their own friends... *shrugs* I've been trying to get my cousins together but never seems to happen... feel somewhat distant from them... 4 of my cousins live in Utah, 2 lives in Vegas (1 is at Irvine for school), one is in Arizona with a baby girl... they all seem so busy (yet I'm the second oldest one and feel like I have all the free time as compared to them...) I also feel like I'm not as "up-to-date" as they are... opps... *shrugs* I don't know... maybe one of these days we can get together eventually...
