  • Sushi Party @ Akira's house

    Do you like eating sushi?

    We had a sushi party at Akira's house, my actor friend in London, a few weeks ago.

    I almost forgot to mention it. We've had some parties here before. He has a nice Tudor style house. 他的家很干净,漂亮!

    Kaeko, one of our friends, is teaching them how to roll sushi! 其实, 做寿司很简单!

    Do you remember this pose? Yes, this pose is from a short film "Toshi". We've acted together in 3 projects in London, 我们是老朋友了!

    Eiji (the guy in the middle) came to live in  London and was one of the first Japanese men to start acting here.ndon.

    Therefore, Eiji is one of the frontier actors in London alongside Togo ,whom I visited in Paris.

    Shihoko appeared in my blog before; she lives in a boat!!

    We were really excited and enjoyed making sushi!! 大家一起做饭很高兴的!

    We got quite a variety of fish, and it was all very fresh indeed!

    We can open a sushi restaurant now!!

    This the first sushi plate made by us! 我们的第一个作品!

    The guy wearing the bandanna is actually a professional sushi chef!

    He is teaching our Western friend how to make a sushi!

    We are London-based artists and actors! We have parties together quite often, 仲良しーー！

    We are having another party in January. I'll blog it then :-)

    I LOVE sushi. I wish I could make some good ones myself. I tried before but I think we used the wrong rice. What rice do you have to use and what do you add to it? The sushi you all made looks YUMMY.

    I do like sushi, but I can't make it. Not that I don't have the skills, I have this strange phobia (for lack of a better term) concerning fish. If I prepare it, I can't eat it. No idea why. If I've prepared any seafood of any kind (minus those frozen fish sticks =D), I totally loose my appetite for it. SO, I will happily let someone else make make the sushi, THEN I'll get it ;)

    I guess someone has to like sushi. :-)  Every time I've had food poisoning, it has been because of seafood.  My system just can't handle raw fish.  Sashimi is absolutely impossible.  I tried once, in Chicago (which is very far from an ocean, any ocean).  Between the sea urchin and the calamari, I just couldn't manage it at all.  Everyone tells me what a great delicacy sea urchin is.  Unless I come back as a sea otter (they eat primarily sea urchin), I guess I'll never know.  :-)

    I have always been slightly ashamed that I can't eat sushi or sashimi.  All of my friends eat it and enjoy it a great deal.  I just feel sick (again) at the mere thought.  Negative conditioning 10 times over. :-(
