  • Life is full of dilemmas...

    Busy!! Busy!! Busy!! Lately I have been quite busy. Working freelance for a wedding animation company. Doing cheesy wedding animations with cartoon characters walking around and getting to know each other. Sheesh... Why am I back to the bridal line again!! 

    Anyway the boss quite like me and wants to offer me a full time job. Ack!! Just when I am settled on freelance. Its so weird how last week I am so jobless I was worrying if this freelance thing is gonna work out and this week I have 2 work offers... What should I do?? I have 2 choices now. Go for the animation job or continue freelancing and go for a business in Fair Trade and opening a bakery with my friend later this year. It takes planning so it will not happen so fast and we gotta iron out the details first...

    If I decide to do this animation thing, my life will be stuck doing cheesy wedding animations but the pay is good... A few years down the road, I see myself quitting with no future as I will be far from graphics design...

    If I decide to go for the Fair Trade and Bakery, I might strike gold if it is popular or wasted my money and time if it goes bust...

    What should I do.......

    Choose the job that you are more passionate about.  If you do choose to go the animation route, make every project as awesome as possible. Spend the extra hours to put in the details. Take it as opportunity to build up your portfolio. Clients will be able to see the quality of your work no matter what kind of gig it was for.

    Just choose the job u wanna do at present without thinking over alot ...whether its an adventure...)Work for what u really like,hehe.

    Whatever you choose, you'll have to commit yourself wholeheartedly. And don't get fat eating all the pastries. haha. Ooh, I see long hours...but you may be totally satisfied w/ this venture. Good luck.

    HI Kikilala. I think if you're young (and you still are) and want to strike at something different, perhaps you should give your bakery biz a try. If that doesn't last, you'll at least still have your graphics skills to fall back AND bakery/restaurant skills. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
