  • Flat tires SUC !!! :(((

    Here's what happened ..

    I'm driving to West Salem, with Keith and Jay in the Jeep ..
    we start to cross the bridge over the Willamette River and all of a sudden, there's a strange noise from the driver's rear side ..
    a person in a car on the driver's side of the Jeep yells out "YOU HAVE A FLAT TIRE!!!"
    I yell back "I KNOW!!!" (DUH!!!)

    The bridge has no where to pull over, so I drive slowly to the other side, off the bridge and onto a side street, whereupon Keith and Jay change the flat .. if they hadn't been with me, I would have had to call the AAA autoclub, and who knows how long that would have taken for a service person to arrive!!! GAH!!!

    Anyway, when dad came home from work, he took the flat out of the back of the Jeep ..
    here's what caused it ..



    Evidently, the tire picked up a piece of metal somewhere!!!



    I sincerely thank my Heavenly Father that the speed limit over the bridge is slow ..
    in other words, city limit speed versus highway speed .. Heaven knows it may have caused an accident otherwise!!!

    Thank God you are alright.  Ya, having guys around help.  Even if we know how to change a flat, it would have been impossible to do so without the strength.

    Yep. That sucks!
    I once drove when one rear tire was nearly flat. Didn't know about it until I got home. Glad I made it home at night too!

    changing a tire isn't hard and sure beats waiting for the AA (in NZ it's AA and no we don't get them confused with Alcholics Annymous ^_~)
