    A few questions about music for you all.

    1. What makes you like a song? The lyrics or the sound/music?
    2. What makes you like a specific artist?
    3. Do you still buy CDs or do you download (legally of course!) music?

    Just curious...

    1. the melody will have to catch my attention first, then the lyrics will have to match with the melody and make sense...if either one is bad, i'm not into it, unless i don't understand the lyrics, then the sound of the words will have to match the tune of the song...

    2. singing well in studio, if they look good, can perform live and holds great stage composure, they're on my top fav...

    3. i do buy original CDs, mostly by my favorite artists tho...or make ppl buy them for me on my bday or x'mas, kekeke...

    1. I'd usually say the lyrics, but I'm attracted to music of other languages so surely it would be the music, hmm I really don't know.

    3. Mostly legal downloads, occasionally a CD if I like most of the tracks. Never pirate material

    1) Both lyrics and music/sound.  It doesn't have to be at the same time.  Like sometimes I like a song, but I don't like the lyrics and vice versa.
    2) Depends.  It could be because I just like their songs (for the above mentioned) or it could be because of the history of what they went through (like Tori Amos) or their personality and what they have done (Henry Rollins)
    3. Both.  I guess you can call me old fashioned in some since... I like having CDs... but now a days I also like getting mp3s since I don't have to deal with the space of storing them and also I can just download the song I want off an album rather than buying the whole thing if I don't like some of the other stuff.

    your answers from my perspective!
    1 I like a song because the music shound have lyrics that make sense and the music has to flow.  
    2 I have be able to connet in some level, for me he has to easy on my eyes! I got to daydream too!
    3 I buy cds because I think if an artist did a good job, people should respect him and buy their cd, because it is good, and it is a bitch slap on the artist to download thier hard work .  I download because artists make 1 good song and the rest of the cd is shit and the music is not ready to be put on a cd or everything else is a repeat, that, is a rip off and I will not spend extra money on a cd that already have songs that are already on 3 of my other cds

    interesting blog
    1) More of the music. if lyrics is good, its a bonus
    2) His or her music of course, how the artist delivers it
    3) I just listen from youtube :) or ppl lend me CDs last time

    1.  It can be either or both.
    2. Talent.  I don't like appearance and horrible voice is unforgivable.  He or she must has the talent that i know few have.
    3. I stream, rarely buy or download anything.  =P

    1) The lyrics, the music, the beats, the feel to it overall. Some lyrics can be crap but the music and beat rocks or the other way around, but I prefer it both to be just as great!

    2) Like 3 days grace? consistency! Doesn't go from hit to a miss. Great vocalist!

    3) neither, no cds no download just radio!

    1. it's both the music and the lyrics... but the melody will have to catch my attention first... if I like it enough I will pay real close attention to the lyrics. =)

    2. hmm... their talent and passion for music. =)

    3. I still buy CDs. And if I am only looking for 1 or 2 songs, then I get it from iTunes

    1. both, though lyrics is very important to me.
    2. if he writes & composes good songs. hmmm.. lots of things actually. hehe..
    3. i still buy cds, even if i have downloaded some songs of certain artists i still go buy their albums if its available & really worth the money.  but if i only like one or two songs then i just download.

    and what about you then?

    The melody gets my attention. I don't even listen to lyrics! haha. Er, that's why I don't know what song I'm listening to unless it's a real obvious hook.

    1. Music is usually catches my attention first, then the lyrics.
    2. True to their music
    3. Download - I find that I don't usually like all of their songs...maybe 1 or 2 in their album - def. not worth $19
