Beijing Welcomes You Video

I know many of you have seen it and it's finally hitting me that the Olympics are upon us. So, today, I watched this video, "Beijing Welcomes You" I'm sure many of you have seen this, but I like this one because this one shows the locations, artists and english translation (although, you need to click on it through to YouTube...don't know why it doesn't work embedded) . I thought it was cool and worth watching.  After watching this, it got me thinking about the Beijing Olympics and the host country. When the announcement went out that China won the bid, there were lots of celebrations especially within the Chinese community. As quickly as the celebrations began, the critics, the protestors of China politics began to swarm and take every opportunity to speak out against China. Soon enough, most of the press we are shown everyday makes China all but positive. The negativity reported outweighs the good that comes out and that is not fair. So, after watching this video, I feel even more proud to be Chinese and I like the way it presents China in a ...as a country that is rich in history, culture and most importantly...people...normal people...just like everyone in the world. So, enjoy...can't wait to see the Opening Ceremonies...heard it's going to be a great show.
