I can understand where they're coming from but I'm not sure what all this outcry about the Olympics torch can do for the cause of the Tibetans.

well, my thought is that people should convert china with friendliness rather than protesting. protests will only make china defensive and angry and shut itself away more.

Land's sakes.

I don't know the history of the religion practiced in Tibet but I've heard that it was quite an oppressive and male-dominated society, before the Communists took over, during the dynasties and perhaps even before that. China's been governing and putting down its minorities for decades, if not centuries. Why does it take the BJ Olympics for people in the 21st century to be "outraged?"

I'm a true San Franciscan. Was born in the same hospital as Bruce Lee. Went the same high school as did O.J. Simpson (yes, he did it, not thrilled about that) Graduated from the same university as did Danny Glover. Can you guess them all? I ran my own company for 10 years, then got the dot.com bug. People still wonder how I was able to work with my wife, but that was never an issue, actually it was one of the most fun time I've ever had...work related. Became a dot.bomb casualty, then was an employee for the State (I was collecting unemployment) Finally landed in this ad agency producing those wonderful catalogs you throw away from your mailbox everyday. My wife is a former wushu standout (she hates it when I refer to her as former nat'l champ). Have 2 absolutely wonderful kids that make me want to win the lottery and just spend time watching them grow up. That's about it all in a nutshell.
