    Given this economy, what do you think? I've been getting calls from recruiters for a contract offer. That's just it...a Contract (6+ months to a year). My conservative side says NO. But the offer is pretty lucrative...the side that wants a new LCDTV says yes. Currently, the work is not as challenging as before and the team is...eH. New offer would be back in SF (No driving over to Marin, save gas and toll) and hours (from what I hear from a friend) is very nice (no late hours). Hmmm...Your thoughts?

    The payoff from contract jobs is usually very enticing but the lack of stability is much less so esp. since you have a family.  Does wifey have good health insurance if you were to go contract?  I'd agree with the others and find out more but there's  alot to consider.

    Maybe go ahead and talk to them. Take a look around their place. Contracts are less secure.

    Be careful.....you know my sis just got laid off, and I've known a bunch of ppl..AT &T is laying off thousands....Research it first, be very thoughtful, sleep on it a long time, I can tell why it's attractive....it's just it's getting scary, my mom was right, she called it when I was applying for colleges lol..
