    I was out at the Abbey Friday night and saw this girl with an illuminated handbag. I thought it was the coolest thing and asked her about it. She turned out to be Joyce Francis, the very artist who designed it. I wish I were a girl. It was a scene-stealer for a girl even at a gay bar! It's called "Iced Honey," a hard shell handbag, sold for USD$1,200 at Blue Tree in New York. It's one of Phoebe Cates' (Gremlins) favorites. Check it out: bluetreenyc.com.

    Actually, my ex-GF had the same idea for a handbag -- use low-power LED's inside to illumniate the purse whenever it's opened so that you can see inside when you're in the movie theater... or just keep them on and have ppl stare at you. This purse is COOL....
