Sex & the City and Rock n' Roll Marathon

This past weekend I was in San Diego to support my friend who was running in the Rock n' Roll marathon. Unfortunately, we had miscalculated the time for when she was going to finish and completely missed her.

My fun filled weekend started Saturday afternoon. I drove to Carlsbad to drop off my stuff with my friend Amy because I was spending the night at her apartment, then we drove off to meet our marathon machine (M n' M) friend Margie at her hotel.

While Margie did some socializing with her marathon buddies, Amy and I went shopping. I bought a black short sleeve shirt with a scoop neck and a gray blouse for only $35. I'm so proud myself. Later on in the evening, we met up with Margie and our other friends to watch Sex & the City. It was long, but I loved it. The line was crazy, I had to wait for almost 40 minutes. A lot of the women were dressed up and everyone was taking pics inside the theater. I'm thinking ... seriously? Y'all need to calm down. It's not like it was the premier or something. Anyways, if you're a Sex & the City fan, I highly recommend it. Watch it theaters and then buy the DVD.

Unfortunately, the next day we didn't make it on time to see our friend run. We miscalculated when she was going to finish and missed her at the finish line. So we waited back at her hotel so that we can hold up the signs that we made for her when she got off the marathon shuttle. Apparently this marathon was suppose to be a pretty big event. There were a whole bunch of bands that I've never heard of playing at different points in the marathon and there was concert at some stadium that night too. Sucks that I had to miss all of that.

sex and the city is THAT good? i'm a fan... btu didn't know if i should watch it in the theatres or just wait for the DVD... so... you're saying GO FOR IT, eh...

i've tried to watch an episode and i just couldn't get into it. i don't see the appeal to this show.

So, you thought she would be pretty slow so you didn't need to be at the finish line too soon? haha. Margie's the speed demon, didn't you know? ;D

A lot of ladies in line to see SATC. It's a rental for me.

Super straight forward and blunt. I'm the friend that tells you that you look like sh*t at the end of a long day at work (and then I help you fix your hair). I can be pretty intimidating, but everyone around me knows that I'm one of the nicest people they'll ever meet. I can talk to anyone, anywhere, on just about anything that comes to my mind at the moment. I'm a Cancer so I can get along with practically anyone. At this moment in life, I can say that the smartest decision I ever made was to study abroad in Hong Kong, where all I did was shop, eat, party, and travel for a year (but don't tell my parents that). I'm super addicted to girly books (I love Sophie Kinsella) and was recently tricked into reading my first romance novel(it's like porn on books). I truly believe that I am destined to be a photographer, food critic, or an event planner, but somehow landed in banking and finance. I'm an impulsive shopper (last year I bought a PSP and now it's just sitting on my book shelf). I have a passion for food and I love trying new restaurants. I once told a friend "if we weren't working together we would never be friends because you can't eat garlic." My friends appreciate food. For some odd reason (I still haven't figured out what) I have the shortest attention span when it comes to the guys I date. I can be staring at my cell phone when it rings, but I'll never pick it up. I'm addicted to buying Chinese DVDs. I'm allergic to lychee, but I eat it anyways. I can't stand pretentious people, I rather respect you for your b*tchy a**hole selves. I learned how to read and speak Mandarin by watching tv. I once told a Congressmen to get off my seat at a conference in capitol hill. I'm not on facebook.
