Have been traveling a lot lately! Since getting back from GZ 广州 I've had to make two trips to 天津 in the space of a week. And by weekend I'm hoping to be back in Melbourne for Christmas! It's gotten to the point that I keep a semi-packed bag by the door just in case. I've spent so much time at airports and train stations that I've taken a few photos of weird things I've seen in transit. “Super Weird Thing Number 1" is the sign indicating the children's playground at Beijing airport 北京机场:
What the?
What do you reckon, are kids these days embracing nuclear energy or what? Yep, Beijing Airport is the first of its kind in this regard, nuclear toys for the little ones to play with while you wait to board your flight.
"Super Weird Thing Number 2" is courtesy of Guangzhou airport 广州机场 a bit over a week ago. As I was waiting to see the status of my flight this worrying sign appeared on the main display:

"Windows has crashed. You are running too many programs".
Darn. Honey, windows crashed again...
Have a great Christmas everybody 圣诞节快乐! (I'd just like to close in saying that both GZ and BJ airports are actually really great airports; not only are they SO much better than 10 years ago, but miles above many of the airports we have back home. These are just some 真奇怪的 exceptions. )
