It was just the end of July when I got to 10,000.

Ye gods... people actually look at this stuff.

Frightening.

I joined AnD since I felt like I needed to meet like-minded people in Hong Kong. Well, that may be unfair to other people. Let me amend that to say I wanted to meet people I felt I had common interests with.

I love living here, but it is very different in a lot of ways. What's important, or funny, to a lot of people here isn't the same for me, and vice versa.

Add to that the fact that I am not very sociable to begin with and the fact that my interests can be, uh, uncommon, especially here.

So I admit that at least 60% of my problem starts and stops with me.

I am very grateful to have had the chance to meet so many people with whom I can talk and, more importantly, laugh.

I hope I make people laugh, even if it is at me instead of with me. I've enjoyed being able to express myself openly about whatever the f@#$ I want.

Well, I gotta go get ready for the typhoon: DVDs and fresh fruit. Ahhh, the glorious debauchery of middle age.
