You've got the idea--if you're going to stand out in a crowd (you're a tall gweilo, so this is a given in HK), show some style and wit. I'm sure Cherrie saw the fun in it all. She's certainly smiling in the picture of the two of you together (no, not an embarrassed smile--one that shows she is genuinely enjoying herself).
