Sharon Stone says the earthquake is bad karma.

Building an entire career out of  a "Hello Kitty" homage isn't? Why is Sharon Stone famous? For supposedly being 'duped' into showing off her [humorous but deeply affectionate term for female genitalia] in a movie.

Like we didn't know she had one? Or didn't know what it looked like?

Hey, I love to look at them, but the simple truth is that they all kinda look the same. I've seen one before that looked just like hers. In fact, I think it belonged to the woman I saw Basic Instinct with...

The ones that are unique, I don't want to see.

    Then again...

Show me Jamie Lee Curtis' crotch; she's been rumored to be a hermaphrodite for decades.

Jesus, how did I get here?

But this is important, believe it or not. I need you to remember that we're talking about a professional flasher and nothing else.

Who, for reasons unknown to everyone (except probably  Noam Chomsky and the late Marshall McLuhan), actually gets listened to when that hole in their face makes noise.

Why the f@#$ is some two-bit, over-aged skank's pseudo-mystical, archetypal Californinanity (there's a reason it's called the land of fruits and nuts) deserving of the classification 'news'?

Who f@#$ing cares what she says (or whom Angelina Jolie is endorsing for president) or what any movie star thinks about anything other than the movies they were in?

When did the inane, moronic drivel of Hollyweird's multitudes become newsworthy, much less deserving of anything other than exuberant contempt?

Sadly, when people listen to it.

Once again, Chinese people have their drawers in a twist because God forbid, someone said something critical of China. Even if what they said was laughably pedantic and so intellectually stunted that if it was a child, it would ride the short bus and wear a football helmet 24/7.

I'm not saying people shouldn't get mad if their nation is insulted.

Imagine Henry Kissinger showing up drunk on The Today Show, puking on the host and saying "F@#$ China, Taiwan is the real China. Who f@#$ing cares about these people? Nixon only talked to them because he wanted to get his hands on two pandas... and make them fight! We'd get them crazy on speed, antagonize them into a frenzy and let them tear each other to pieces! We'd eat them! Dick was going to use the pelts to make his wife a fur coat!"

Then, I'd see your point. An elder statesman, a politician in real life (not the movies), saying mean, hurtful things about a nation in totality and one of its national symbols in particular.

(Yes, I do realize there may be a website about me in about an hour...)

    But Sharon-flashing-Stone?

    News flash: She's an idiot.

    We
    don't listen to her.

The Dalai clique doesn't either. There's no need to build websites, make statements, or decide not to carry her movies in your theatre chains. You're not missing much, and it ain't like she gets a lot of work.

That's a gross overreaction. And it looks stupid.

Please: Don't be stupid. Ignore her. We do.

You want to punish her? Make her watch her own movies.

    No one else does.

Here's her apology...hmmmm I wonder why...could it be because Christian Dior DROPPED her???

French fashion house Christian Dior said Thursday it has dropped Sharon Stone from its Chinese ads and released a statement from the actress apologizing for saying China's earthquake may have been bad karma for its treatment of Tibet.

The 50-year-old actress said she was "deeply sorry" for causing anguish and anger among Chinese people with her remarks in an interview last week. Stone models for Christian Dior SA, and the company's Shanghai office issued the statement.

Stone's comments caused considerable anger in the Chinese media. The official Xinhua News Agency said in a commentary Thursday she was the "public enemy of all mankind."

The public relations manager for Dior in Shanghai who gave only her surname, Guo, said Stone would no longer appear in the company's advertisements in China.

"Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people," Stone said in the statement. "I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people."

Chinese media have erupted in indignation over foreign criticism of the country ahead of the Beijing Olympics in August. During the international leg of the Olympic torch relay, many Chinese reacted strongly to protests over China's rule of Tibet.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Thursday he had taken note of Stone's apology.

"We hope that as an actress she should contribute to our two peoples' mutual trust, understanding and friendship," he said.

Stone's original comments were made last week during a Cannes Film Festival red-carpet interview.

"I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else," Stone said. "And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

Hey Sean, I just read this from IMDB.com

Latest: Sharon Stone has come under attack from officials in China for suggesting the country's recent earthquake was caused by "karma" - with a leading cinema chain threatening to ban her films.

The outspoken actress was talking to a Chinese media outlet on Thursday when she linked the recent disaster, which left more than 67,000 people dead, to China's recent treatment of Tibetans.

And her remarks have caused outrage in the country - China's biggest cinema company has threatened to ban all of her future films and shopkeepers have been seen removing advertising posters featuring the actress from their windows.

Ng See-Yuen, founder of the cinema chain Uwe and chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers, described Stone's remarks as "inappropriate" and said actors should not bring personal politics to bear on a humanitarian crisis.

Stone's comments come after Chinese security forces attacked Tibetan monks and other ethnic Tibetans after a peaceful independence rally in March turned violent.

The protests marked the annual anniversary of a failed Tibetan uprising against Chinese rule, which has been in place since 1951.

The violent incident, which left at least 16 people dead, prompted many countries to boycott part or all of the opening ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics in China later this summer.

Nobody listens to Sharon Stone. Or Richard Gere. Or Susan Sarandon/Tim Robbins. Well, only the people who adore them do. Why these people get on the news is beyond me.
