    As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  This is one of the articles I received from a newsletter I subscribed to.  I thinks it's pretty cool that knitting has increased in popularity.  It's no longer associated with grandmothers.

    The scarf they are working on will be auctioned off where the proceeds will go to charity.  It's so cool to see celebrities (especially guys) knitting for a worthy cause.    Oh, I just learned that organic yarn is also available.  Wow, so now we will be helping to save the environment by using our knitted projects.

    It's always nice to know that celebrities are willing to do their bit for charity.  the knitting is  a great idea aswell. Hope the do well at the auction

    Breast Cancer --> Women --> Knitting
    so it's assumed that only women knit?

    This is so neat! I've knitted scarves before and donated them...it's a lot of fun. Wished I took pictures of some of them. Pretty proud of some I made up :)

    wow, that's cool. so does organic yarn mean that they didn't go through the usual "dying"/ "processing" phases? what exactly distinguishes them from the normal yarn?

    yes, there are many events country-wide to support breast cancer awareness month. =)
