• Singapore Chirstmas Trip

  7.30am 27 Dec 2007, still stuck in office waiting mocks approval. Whole creative team were here whole night. Now left me and another colleague stand-by to make changes.. Waiting could be very tiring and sleepy so i decided to continue blogging... hehe

  

  My Christmas Trip to Singapore was great. I manage to meet up with few Uni friends who are currently working there. Thanx to Vance hospitality and be our tour guide bringging us around. Singapore is so happening. Everywhere were so crowded, peoples are rushing for last minutes Christmas shopping.

  Few things that i wanna share.

   

  1) EXHIBITION

  We went to a few museum and gallery. First stop at RED DOT Museum Singapore. They having this product design exhibition. Unfortunately entrance fees is require therefore we skipped it. Entrance of Red Dot Museum got this cute signage. Following photo is 2 of my frens possing in front the entrance.

  

  Next stop is Singapore National Museum. We porposely drop by to see Groovision's exhibition. Their art work is simply amazing. Although the exhibition space is a bit small but is worth to take a look. I only manage to capture photos outsite the exhibition hall. B/C no photo allow inside. Too bad eh.

  

  Kleine See by Takashi Kuribayashi mixed media installation were impressive too. I was attracted by the metled looking sealion on the ceiling.

  

  Then discover another 1 near the stair case. But the head was cut off and only show the body.

  

  When i went up to 2nd floor, then only notice the sealion's head was stuck on a plastic layer which symbolize water.

  

  This is the art work explaination.

  

  Another installation was situated right in front the National Museum's. Is call "A Day Without A Tree" by Yeo Chee Kiong (Singaporean). Is about global warming issue.

  !

  

   

  2) FOOD

  We walk a lot. I walk until muscle ache everywhere... i think Singapore Food is only soso.... But their dessert is yUMMY!!! Specially ICE CREAM!!!!! We were shopping in Takashimaya located @ Orchard Road. We were attracted by this yummy window display of a Japanese restaurant. And we had a tea break there. The ice cream is yummy yummy...

  

  So many variety and we decided to order this   

  

  Vance ordered this Red Bean Coffee Tong Yun. Sounds funny but taste GOOD

  

  This Japanese dessert packaging is so nice and detail. Is expensive though but i still bough a box. I like the packaging so much!

  

  on Christmas eve, we had German cuisine at Vivo City. Very filling and satisfied.

  

  

  

  After dinner OF COZ DESSERT!!! We had Ben& Jerry Ice Cream! I tried peppermint ice Cream with cookies & tiny M&M!!   Unfortunately, we dun have Ben& Jerry in Malaysia.

  

   

  3) SHOPPING & SIGHT-SEEING

  SHOPPING!!!... SALES..... EVERWHERE!!! HAHAHHAA.... but i am controlling.... cannot simply spend. Still i bough a new wallet , a jacket. Hehehe Lov the Jacket so muchie!!!! Lolz we possing and playing with those props in stores. Luckily the promoter never scold us.

  

  Mac Shop & checked out the latest product. The gold fish is marker drawn if not mistaken.

  

  

  Their MRT (underground or train or subway, watever you call it) is so clean and nice. Fully air-con and filled with art work.

  

  Top floor of Vivo City is a reall cool place where there call it a rooftop skypark where you can enjoy the fresh air and the habour scenery or splash out with your love ones. Is quiet, windy and chilling.

  

  Alvin got his new car, VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE!!!!! hehe...so happy got a chance to ride on it. A ROUND ROUND ME with a ROUND ROUND CAR + with the cute piggy in front~~ PIGGIE ROX PIGGIE ROX!!!! can you see it?

  

  Cannot see NVM, I ZOOM IN FOR YOU. HAHAHA

  

  He drove us round the town and this plc call Clinic bar @ Clarke Quay is just too cool. I MUST INTRODUCE to you guys. Is a pub where the setup looks like hospital. Where WHEEL CHAIR were used to replace normal chair or stool, Light is Operation light. Some couch is like patient's bed and divided by the white cloth were can easily seen in hospital. Drinks were serve in a Blood Transfusion Bags. Cool eh. I found their website interesting as well, just click on the Clinic Bar link above.

  

  It has been raining on and off throughout the journey. This was taken on our way back to KL by Aeroline shutttle bus. Is a natural mozzaic effect huh... hehe...
