Aww Yulien it's a mistake anyone could have made. I understand coz I probably would have done the same. If Daniel's in town, there will always be that strong desire to see him, especially knowing where the location is. Don't beat yourself up about it. No one's to blame and Daniel had courtesy in thanking you at the end of the day. I'm sure he understands too as he shows no anger towards you. Well you've benefited from it anyway girl.. peachey - can't say enough thank you for defending me...but it's REALLY no one's fault (but really i still think it's a little bit of my own fault). i'm a person who is very critical/hard on myself so i can learn from my mistakes. *hugs*

rottendoubt - *nod nod nod* i got ya...i agree as well. all these crazy privacy invation was taking into consideration before my action. esp Daniel strong/serious blog bout paparazzi in HK...but i'm seriously not one of them. i respect his privacy. i didn't post around where his school is, and not going to post it either.

thus, i did discuss it with close friend i made here. but they are trustworthy enough not to go bragging around everywhere of Daniel's whereabout. i took this action on my own...no other friends know bout it...i'm all alone in NY.

ya, actually we ask the artists not to put in any information that reveals their location, etc to help protect their privacy.  didn't realize he put in which school he was at...

Everyone's always making assumptions. And sometimes they're good assumptions and sometimes not so good.

rotten: perhaps yulien didn't want to force herself and beat the crowd to see daniel. it's not easy fighting million other fans to see their idols at those public events cos everyone and their mamas are gonna be there. what she did was a confirmed gesture meaning she'll meet daniel no matter what. daniel didn't have to post up a warning note, but if he wanted his identity to be anonymous then he shouldn't tell us exactly what school he was attending. i'm sure daniel overlooked this and he prolly didn't expect anyone to drop by. therefore, it's no one's fault..just careless mistakes.

i'm not mad, but at the same time i don't think it makes sense to try to blame daniel for this.  it's not his fault in any way.

we've had way worse situations come up before when we worked with jet li on his site.  to the point where he didn't post up future appearances anymore.  in this case it was harmless.  i just don't want dan (or any of the other artists on this site) to feel uncomfortable about blogging....

I am of the opinion that some things need to be spelled out. And had it been done earlier, we could have avoided this whole situation or discussion altogether. And actually this "stay away" idea hadn't occurred to several of us. Yes, a little more prudence would've benefitted both parties.

It's rather difficult for those not exposed to the celeb culture to understand these issues. And  my encouragement of Yulien wasn't to purposely or deliberately overstep any boundaries. I really was ignorant. So, Patrick, thanks for clarifying. And chill. Have a little empathy.

peachey -- really have to disagree with you here.  i realize that you are trying to make yulien feel better, but no one (celebrity or not) should specifically have to say "don't stalk me" in their blog.  if some random guy was reading your blog and figured out where you would be and approached you because you didn't write "don't stalk me" on your blog, how'd you like that?

yulien - i agree that it was a misunderstanding.  i saw dan's comments and he's not mad about it so it's cool.  in general, though, i think you should only aim to find him (or any celebrity) at public events that he is at such as movie premieres, etc where he is expecting to meet his fans...

Don't beat up yourself for it! I am sure there would be people out there, that would've had the same intention as you, but just never got the chance to get to it. Besides, he know that you didn't mean any harm, he's even left comment on his blog sayings 'it's ok and that there was no need to apologise. So if he doesn't feel bad, you shouldn't feel bad.. =]

It's all good.  I am sure you really wanted to see Dan badly. I am sure he will understand. Cheer up!
