I've been extremely lazy (as noted on my last post) so I've been flipping thru the TV stations... and watched a number of movies...

I've found that movies (or books too) made from a true story is truly inspiring... I am now ready to kick start my engine again, but hmm... I'm gonna call it lazy again for the night... I will officially start tomorrow... hahaa...

Here are a few movies that are based on a true story which I have truly enjoyed watching... all of them making me cry...

It's weird though, I'm not a football fan at all, but I really enjoyed this movie anyhow. but the movie is more than football; it talks about a real issue that was dealt with in history (and sometimes now a days...)

And today, I watched "Eight Below" which is a movie inspired by a true story. I really recommend this. But be sure to keep a kleenex box near you if you're the emotional type of person. but it is a great movie...

Any other movies that are based on a true story that you could think of? I feel I have seen more but can't recall it at the moment...

erm...Forest Gump is NOT based on a True Story. it's based on a novel...

OMG, I think we saw the same movies this weekend! I saw Eight Below as well and it's such a tear jerker! I've seen it like 100 times but it still gets to me! Those huskies are SO FREAKING ADORABLE!!!

Remember the Titans is a wonderful movie as well. I have The Pursuit of Happyness on DVD but I have yet to see it. I have not nor do I own Coach Carter.

I didn't see Coach Carter, but did and like the other 2 very much. RTT has one of my favorite quotes: "Attitude reflects leadership"

Oh, Mui Mui loves the "Eight Below" movie! She loves watching the snow dogs and she would sometimes try to touch them (on the screen). =P

i've seen the ones u listed except coach carter. saw texas chainsaw massacre too. another good one is grid iron gang by the rock. also, the hurricane by denzel.. so many good ones. i luv movies based on true events.

I think the Japanese Eight Below was traumatic for me enough But yeah some true stories are very inspiring to watch. I like the looks of Remember the Titans, I wasn't sure I'd like it, but the clip looks good.

For me an oldie but a goodie was "Carve Her Name With Pride".

The City of God/story based in rio. the best.
Donnie Brasco/johnny depp.
Blow/johnny depp. amazing.
It's All Gone, Pete Tong/funny entertaining. not sure if it's real story, but it's based on a person.

for American Gangster....i watched it, but not really convince of it. cause it's probably mostly out of tht person himself (the role Denzel played...forget his name :P). same goes with all true story. scripted. hahah!

"Amazing Grace" is truly an amazing story...your blog reminds me that I still want to do a blog about my experience of watching it.

Also, "Invincible"....another football story, ironically enough, but truly inspiring! (Stars Marky Mark Wahlberg....)

Let's see...."Sound of Music" is another one...

There's also Jet Li's "Fearless." =)
