it was quite a _cool_ experience this weekend at the Women's State Tournament... first time bowling in the tournament... and there was definitely a few things that were "NEW" to me... on Saturday we bowled the Team Event and Sunday was the Singles/Doubles Event... on Saturday, everyone that was bowling, was asked to meet in the meeting room. Went over the rules of the tournament and we _marched_ out onto the lanes with fast "Jock Jam" music playing in the bowling alley. Then we stood in front of everyone on our lane and they introduced all the teams. This was a _cool_ experience. Never knew they did that... they presented some awards for bowlers having bowled the tournament 25+ years... I think the highest number of years I heard was 47 years!!!!!!! and indeed... the team bowling next to us was 4 ladies in their 80s... impressive!!!!~

and unexpectedly, at the tournament they had a photographer setup to take pictures for the bowlers. So today, my mom and I dressed like twins and we took our picture... came out okay (just a bit too dark) but the pics are super expensive so we only got one picture together. We took single pics too, but we didn't want to pay $8 for each 4x6.

anyway... besides all this, the bowling *sucked* well, actually I did good on the Team Event, but the Singles/Doubles I *sucked* couldn't even bowl my average... it was horrible... but everyone else bowled good... bowling games over 200... damn... what happened? I need some of their skills and luck!!!

Don't know why but this tree got my attention two days in a row,
so I had to snap a picture of it...

So calming and peaceful...

And dinner tonight was here...

I had the yummy Mushroom Sauce Spaghetti with Italian Sausage and Sauteed Mushrooms and an Italian Orange Cream Soda!!! Sorry, no food pics... but it was YUMMY!!!!~

and so that's a wrap for the weekend... the new week begins... but I am so tired from sitting on the drive to/from Stockton and bowling 18 games in three days... I'll have to catch up with my feeds s...l....o....w....l....y

You had quite an eventful weekend there. I'm sure you'll bowl better singles/doubles next time. At least you did well on the team event :) and got a nice photo taken w/ your Mom.

I didn't know a Ghirardelli outlet existed. Too bad I'm not a chocoholic.

The Altamont Pass with all those windmills is kind of freaky, isn't it? haha. I used to think so. Stockton was not hot?
