wow... it's been quite a weekend of running around in the cooling heatwave... we've had recording breaking temperatures going into the weekend... NICE! but we never made it out to the beach... but we had plenty of frozen yogurt... YUM!~ but it was hard to find these yogurt places...

had a bowling tournament today... did pretty good... waiting for results now... **keeping my fingers crossed**

in addition to the surprise mail from htdaryl, I got a surprise email last week from a friend... she's also a graphic designer. But she just got a new job and she is going to propose the new company with a corporate identity design (which includes the letterheads, business cards, flyers, website, etc...) and she emailed me to see if I would be interested in working together. Basically she'll be coming up with the design and I'd put together the website and we split the money. I met with her today and she's gonna put together a proposal / contract for the company and she will present them the ideas. if it follows through, I think it will be a nice project to work on (and with a friend) when I saw her today, I just kept telling her Thank You for thinking of me and giving me the offer... I was quite happy when she emailed me, but I didn't tell anyone about it because I was afraid I would jinx it... hahaa... well, I hope it'll follow through...

after our short talk, we walked over to the Apple store b/c we both mentioned that we want to eventually get a Mac laptop b/c it seems that a lot of jobs require / request ownership of a Mac. OMG! the 17" MacBook Pro is almost US$3,000!!!!~ WOW... I'm gonna need a lot more jobs to get me that... it's going on my wish list... oh wait, it already is on my wish list... HAHAA!!!!~ still trying...

Nice surprises! Macs are expensive but a must if you're gonna work in graphics. And like NT said, you can write it off.

Cool! More work. You're gaining more experience and cred.

I came up on Sat. The fog sorta surprised me, sorta didn't. I'm usually prepared for the fog but not that evening. A bit chilly.
