yesterday, in the stack of "jokes and entertainment" were some friendship poems... one of which was written by my friend to me. I've known her since... elementary school... but we didn't become friends until 5th grade... we went thru quite a bit of drama during junior high... but we've fought through all the troubles and we're still really good friends... hmm... that reminds me, I should call her... anyhow, here's her poem... hehee...

Angel

Through all the years that have gone by
You have never left my side
For you're my sister and my friend
You're like an angel that God has sent
You helped me through all those times that I fell
Looking after me like no one else
Though we argued and as a stubborn as I was
You always forgave me for the wrong I've done
Though I never told you how much I care
I'm sure you know
Looking back on all the memories we share
Sad and laughing eyes
That we've looked upon each other
Every now and then
I think about all that happened
I smile to myself
Hoping with all my heart that you are well
Even though we are apart
I know you'll always be in my heart

Here's something else I want to share...

Plant Your Garden Today

First, plant 3 rows of peas:
Patience
Promptness
Prayer

Next, plant 3 rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash criticism

Then, plant 4 rows of lettuce:
Let us Obey the Lord
Let us be loyal
Let us be true to our obligations
Let us be unselfish

Finish with 4 rows of turnip:
Turn up when needed
Turn up with a smile
Turn up with a vision
Turn up with determination

I like to be optimistic... sometimes I am a little negative, but that just happens... I would say it is part of life... =)

Have you found your once-in-a-lifetime friend? be sure to not lose that friend. My once-in-a-lifetime friend is my mom. She's totally awesome because she's more like a sister/friend to me. We are really close and I love her so much!!
