oh... it's the end of the weekend already? darn... it's been another busy weekend... let's go backwards... on Sunday we had a family bbq at my uncle's house in the east bay... the weather was outstanding... Saturday... ran around Chinatown buying stuff for my aunt... and then went to a concert... (yep, that spells trouble, huh? ) It was a charity concert for Family Bridges in Oakland... the singer? Hacken Lee...

the concert was awesome, but my feelings were mixed... not b/c of his performance, it was more on me... I actually went alone... so there wasn't as much excitement b/c I knew I couldn't turn to my side and be excited with a huge smile to tell my friend something or scream with my friend(s)... and needless to say, the cough doesn't help it at all... other bad things... where I was sitting, my view was somewhat blocked... you can see in my pictures...

but regardless... the great things... the concert was awesome... got a good picture taking opportunity (I took 231 pictures...) hahaa... of course not all are good... I can't compare this concert to the Grasshopper concert b/c they sing a different genre of music... both are enjoyable... but I do think I would have enjoyed the concert more if I didn't have the stupid cough... I was coughing a lot when he was singing my favorite song...

Hacken really is a very talented singer... I think many people know him as the human jukebox b/c you name a song he can sing it... seriously... Also he can sing in a rather quick speed and still sound clear.. not like he's slurring... the song that proved it to me is this one: (I literally sat there not blinking and watching the screen... I was like... WOW! )

I wouldn't say that is my favorite song... but it was definitely memorable... hahaa...
I'll share a few pictures that I liked out of the many many pictures that I took... hahaa...

I hope I will never have to go to a concert alone... in need of a concert buddy... my friends just think I'm crazy...

I agree, Hacken has a really great voice. I like the song in the first video that you posted too. Is that your favorite one?

Too bad you had to go alone. Definitely more fun going with someone else. Too bad I'm not in SF...

Are you coming to HK any time soon? You should definitely catch a concert while you're here... =)

I love Hacken's voice... strong and clear.... he makes it look effortless when he sings! I've never been to a concert alone but I do think it's more fun when you go with someone. =)

Hacken my fav HK singer after Jacky Cheung.... his voice! WOW! Plus he sings like I'm listening to his CD...great stuff!

awww...too bad we don't live in the same city...I would have gone with u!! Last time I saw Hacken was this Feb 2007...He was GREAT!! I went with my MOM and aunt...they were screaming like young fan girlies LOL
Hacken is a good sport...he stayed long for encores! I was really suprised I enjoyed it hahhaha p.s I don't approve of his outfits though...thats just me hahhahhaha

I don't think I've heard Hacken sing but he's gotta be good to still be "hot." Glad you went even if alone bc you were able to sorta enjoy yourself.

Oh wow, I really like Hacken Lee's voice, I even remember crying after seeing him in Six Strong Guys too. He's is a brillaint singer. Nice photo's you took, I like the one where he looks to be looking directly at you, sweet. I'd of loved to of seen him in concert.

Concerts are fantastic, but I know what you mean about when you go alone, the atmosphere just is not the same.

i've never been to a concert alone BUT if ray lam (or hacken or andy or hins cheung or jade kwan) did a concert, i wouldn't mind going- even alone! haha... thanks for sharing the pics. =)
i'd be your concert buddy if we lived in the same city! teehee... when are you going to andy's in dec? wish i could go... but maybe next time =/
