I'm feeling a little better now... slept for 13 hours Saturday... had a headache waking up... but damn that drowsy medicine really shut me out... on the box it says to take 4tsp every 4 hours... it's like, if I'm gonna be drowsy and shut out, what makes you think I will wake up after 4 hours to take another dose of meds...

anyway... when I went to see Rush Hour 3 several weeks ago with my friends... I was talking with my friend, Julie... she's the one who watched movies with me almost all the time... I was thinking, it would be nice if we kept our movie tickets and when the DVD comes out we can get some kind of discount for the DVD just by showing the movie ticket... (I figure if we support the movie twice, we should get some kind of discount... 10% off, 20% off? $5 off, anything...) what do you think??

or actually maybe I should ask... how many of you will buy the movie DVD after watching the movie? well, I mean of course we buy the DVD because we enjoyed the movie, right? I'm looking forward to buying the Hairspray DVD... other DVDs that I bought after watching the movie in the theatres... Pursuit of Happyness, Rush Hour 2, Lilo & Stitch, Italian Job and a few others... (I'm just wondering how many people would make use of a discount if something like this did happen... )

That's actually a very good idea, although I'm not sure the movie industry will agree to it, but I go to the cinema quite often and at £6.00 a ticket it would be nice to think that if I really enjoyed the film, that I would be getting a discount when the DVD was released.

Being a Jet Li fan, I actually keep my stubs and buy the DVDs for his movies. Imagine all the money I could save if something like that was in place.

Good idea...
I normally wouldn't buy a DVD unless I really loved the movie and could see myself watching it again (and also would want to check out the special features).

Well...I don't know how getting a discount by showing a ticket would work. Maybe have one of those...redemable what you ma call it??? rebate offers by sending in your movie ticket with bar code etc...stuff..
Then that'll work, otherwise I don't think it's much feasible.

Well after Bourne Identity came out, decided not to watch the movie and just buy it. Turns out, should have watched it and not buy it..lol I don't know...the second one just wasn't as good. The third...not sure....I'll see...

I seldom do go to the theaters now a days, last movie I think I ever watched literally was....wow hmmm...I think The Dare Devil??? Or The lord of the rings?? Eh?? lol

I seldom go to the cinema except for my favorable films.and i don't buy many DVDS too. i'm not so interested in watching a film for the second or even third time...but TITANIC is an exception.i watched it twice in the cinema and another two times in dvd.

I would totally support this idea. Since I'm so picky about what I watch theatres now, I most likely would want to own it too eventually.

I like your idea for a discount with the movie tickets. If I really liked the movie I would definitely buy the DVD when it comes out. =)

I don't watch movies in theaters but I'm for any discount. I also hardly ever buy the DVD of the movies unless I absolutely love the film or think it's got something in them that deserves to be owned. I think the last Hollywood DVD I bought was Pirates of the Caribean #1, and it's still un-opened. I like the musical score on that one.
