so... the past few days I've experienced some interesting (??) things about men and women...

well, let's start it this way... I've always been the rather 'protective' type... I've been told that I'm not a easy person to know right away... it takes awhile for a person to really get to know me... and I guess you can say I have an 'old-fashion' mind (old-fashion in a way like no sex before marriage or no dating until after graduation... as an example of my meaning of old-fashion)

so with that in mind... on Thursday (our bowling league night) a party of college kids came in around 9pm... a huge group... probably 40-50 people... all dressed in a costume of some sort... and most of the girls were in really really sexy clothes... there was a girl dressed as a bunny with super super short shorts... and a tank top (mind you, the weather has been really cold in SF), girls in tube-top dresses, and then there was this one girl who went to bowl and threw it in the gutter... so on her second attempt, she pulled her skirt up to about where her butt is... went out and bowled and was shaking her booty up on the lanes... came back and jumped on a guy (koala bear-like)... I mean I wasn't shocked... but why do girls do that? is it really necessary? *I'm standing there scratching my head*

OH! and the worst thing was... after I was done bowling, I went into the restroom to wash my hands... and there was a group of girls in the bathroom with 1 guy in there drinking Rockstar... there was this girl standing in front of the mirror rubbing her boobs... *argh* then this stupid girl in a Pocahontas costume said something like, "ill, let's get outta here, argh" and then grabbed the guy and left... I just rolled my eyes... like WTF?!

then today... I went bowling... and this friend had too much to drink... he was getting a bit too close to me... I just had to walk away for little while... at first I didn't pay much attention to it b/c I know he's a little goofy and wacky... but after awhile, I just didn't feel comfortable...

but yea, that's not me... I've never been the "flirty" type... I guess that's a good thing right? hehee... or is it okay to do that and I'm just too "old-fashioned"?

call me old-fashion too if u want... i think they just do it to get attention, the wrong kind anyways. some are so young they dont even realize that they're being taken advantage of.

but wat about women (not teens) who do it, too? hmm...

well to act like that in public. Never do that in my entire life. That just put my respect down the hole if I were any one of those girls. I do that behind the doors thank you very much..hahaha

My flirting is more innocent in person. I guess, or maybe it's not that innocent. But at least I don't draw everyones attention onto me. Just that 1 specific person.

I do have to be careful. I'm prude for it in other peoples eyes. But hey, whatever makes me feel safe. ;)

For me, it's not even a matter of being old fashioned. That kind behavior lacks common sense and self respect. There are ways to flirt without being overt and sleazy. I don't think there's anything wrong with being protective of yourself. I'm pretty cautious too and a bit of a prude. I'm actually proud of it :)

there's a difference between being sexy and skanky... and sexy doesn't mean baring it all or whatever! ask any decent guy and they'll tell you they'd rather leave some things to the imagination. =)

good for you, janechu! i hope that if i ever have kids, they'll be smart enough to know their true value and worth without having to resort to such measures...

I agree with Peachey, I really think it is a lack of self esteem that makes girls act like that, besides, its the quiet ones you need to watch ^_~

I wouldn't call it "flirty"; I call it *selling yourself cheap*. It is not that I don't display my affection in public, but we should respect the people around us first.

Yeah, I could never understand why people behave like that in public.

I don't think you're being old fashioned.... everyone's values and comfort levels are different. As for your drunk friend, I'd probably do the same as you if I didn't feel comfortable in the situation.

Uh, that's not really considered old-fashioned if you don't particularly like seeing ill-behaved and immature kids doing the stuff they were doing. They were lewd and crude. The girls are too young and stupid to know that they should value their bodies and they don't need to resort to such behavior in order to be accepted or liked. Just think about it as lacking self-confidence which they're overcompensating for in that kind of behavior. Gah!

I also don't like drunken friends or guys rubbing up against me. I'm not particularly old-fashioned but I do mind what's proper and improper behavior. Blech.

Every single person can have charming in the own way, personally, i like to watch ppl and observe the diferent reactions between they, there is not a standar for size which is the correct form of being, but personally i think all excess are bad, i dont like ppl who likes to pretend for win popularity as this girls, just be you, without fall in a closed mind, to learn of others persons sometimes is not bad, i mean, the things you like it, take care, hugss
