weekend highlights

start of a new week... weekend was tiring... but exciting... bear with me if this gets too long...

Saturday... dress shopping... but no luck whatsoever, which is the reason for me not getting out to see the dragon boat races... went to a couple places... including Hillsdale mall... thought I'd try my luck at Cache, but I'm never going there again... they suck... (I won't go into details...) if I start... I'll keep going like the energizer bunny...

Sunday... more dress shopping... more luck this time... found a bridal place in the Tanforan mall... found two dresses that I liked... went to the Jessica McClintock outlet... kinda like a madhouse in there... so we left after 5 minutes... then met with the bride at David's Bridal... Laura bought her wedding gown... I tried on some more dresses... finally got to try on the one I really really wanted to try on... it was good... so I was happy and excited... but there is a problem... Laura narrowed it down to 3 colors for the bridesmaid dresses... (Marine, Pewter, and Serene) that dress doesn't come in these colors at David's Bridal... BUT, on the dress' designer website, it comes in a ton of colors... found three places around the bay area (Hayward and Oakland) that carries their line of dresses... will have to give them a call and see if they have this dress in the Navy color (still gotta see what the Navy color looks like first, cause you know, colors are a little different when it is seen on the screen)... so if that doesn't work out... I have another dress that I liked at David's Bridal that does come in the color(s)... but I like the other one better... *shrugs* actually they have the dress I like online for a much cheaper price, so if Laura approves of the Navy color, I'm gonna order it online... **keeping my fingers crossed** OH! these two dresses that I narrowed down to are almost perfect fit... fits well for my upper body... just need to shorten it... so the alteration work shouldn't be too complicated... so I'm glad...

So my Sunday continues... I about half-way back into my own room now... WOOHOO!!! I was teasing my mom... originally we were just gonna clean up the walls from all the wood dust from sanding the floor and clean out the closet... but I guess my mom was on a roll... we moved my bed, TV, DVDs, CDs into the room... so I was teasing her... people get at least a week notice to move out... she didn't even give me 24 hours to move out... hahaa... we're not done... still gotta move my desk and computer over too... but I wanna look for a new desk... maybe something from IKEA... and I wanna put in a bigger book shelf... I think I have way too much stuff...

anyway... here is a pic of my new rug... I love it... found it at Lowe's...


yea... what's the point of fixing up the floor and covering it up with a rug? my grandma stays downstairs, right beneath my room... and with my wheeling chair, it's really loud... so the rug will be used around my desk area to decrease the noise of me wheeling around at night or whenever...

alright.. back to my daily chores and more cleaning and moving and emailing bridal places to look for "the" dress... hahaa... thanks for reading thru my blabbing...
