this is from the same book I referenced in the previous post... "Caffeine for the Creative Mind"

Here's another exercise... (I'll explain at the end why I decide to do this...)

Did you know that the average human being is able to recognize approximately 10,000 different odors? That's a lot of smells! Our sense of smell is much stronger than we give credit for. We can recall smells with a 65% accuracy rate after a whole year. Visual accuracy decreases 50% after just three months! Fact is... we remember smells. Your task is to remember at least twenty of them. Write down twenty things that smell great...

My answers... things that smell great... for cooking, it's garlic... other things: tea, jasmine flower, bath & body cucumber melon, Gain Laundry detergent, smell of a new car...

other foods/fruits... pineapple, apples, peaches, pears, bananas, mangos, general tso chicken (there's a place in SF that makes it really really good), potstickers, garlic bread, fresh coffee, cilantro...

AND... lately I've been coughing a lot.. but I don't feel sick at all, just something bothering my throat... but everyone claims that I am sick... and just this morning... I told my grandma that I feel 100% fine... if I'm sick, I'll know it... but I feel normal, just coughing... but I guess she didn't get my message... b/c she made me this chinese drink... made with dried longan and ginger... this was what I drank last year during mother's day... I think I had the stomach flu or something... but I was throwing up a lot and had diarrhea... so after half a day of not eating or drinking... my grandma made me this drink at night... after drinking it, I was throwing up again... it was nasty... so today when she walked into my room with a cup, I knew something was wrong... I asked her what it was, she won't tell me... but I sniffed it first and immediately recognized the smell... but she claims that after I drank it last year I was better... so this is another smell, I will never forget...

1. (Dead Fish and seafood)I feel like I'm going to throw. 2(Brut aftershave) It's one way to choke to death, The guys in the family used to bathe in it. 3.(Chocloate) 4.(garlic), I think I am related to vampires, this stuff terrifies me. 5.(Country Air), well manure to be more precise. 6.(Bakery), I love smell of fresh baked cakes and breads. 7(Roses). 8(coffee) 9.(babies), for me this isn't nice, as they either throw up or poop when near me :( 10. (mint) 11.(new magazines) 12.(Petrol), I live next to a gas station. 13.(burn't offerings), I overcook everything. 14.(freshly cut grass). 15.(sea air), seaside resort. 16.(honey) 17.(Strawberry) 18.(Egg Fried Rice..Yum)19.(Chlorine)20.(Poison Perfume), the one from the 80's my sister doused herself in it, i could of set fire to her.

can't think of so many....but i like jasmine flower as well, lilies, roses, peach, lavender aromatherapy, Famous Amos cookies smell, vanilla, any food which smells nice haha

hmmm. hope it's not an allergic cough or lung qi deficiency of some sort (traditional chinese medical ddx)...
hmmm. let's see (or smell! ;b): pineapple, freshly baked bread, cinnamon (buns), chocolate, earl grey, roses (one of my fave!), NYfries (yuck for me, actually- hate the greasy smell!), (starbucks) coffee, white flower oil 白花油, instant noodles, lasagna/ spaghetti, mint, lavender, sandlewood, lemongrass, NASTY body odour (hehehe), mangoes, rotten eggs, anna sui's secret wish/ magic romance in pink (got this perfume for my bday this year), garlic, ginger, turmeric/ indian spices... the list can go on and on! =)

I've been coughing too but not sick. I'm still not sure why I'm coughing.

When I was once sick, I don't know this was really a long time ago. I ate some cough meds, then I went to my parents...I'm not better yet. So I went and took another cough medicine..I was high on alcohol all night long. I couldn't walk or I'd smack into something literally. I was light headed so badly I couldn't open my eyes or else I'd feel even worse. lol But next day I wake up, I'm completely cured! haha

lmao...hahaha ya some how we always remember those bad smells..that's funny..haha I think you could have smelt that one coming a mile away. hehe

Chocolate, hot cocoa, roses, my deodarand "pure sport", vanillia, lillies, lemon, apples, honey dew, cake, tea, pineapple, pine, blue berries, 5 spices, gum, peppermint, cookies, oranges, bakeries from the inside...

My sense of smell sucks. Good smells to me are chocolate, the insides of bakeries, freshly baked cookies, earl grey tea, strawberries, peaches, my stella perfume, garlic and clean sheets.

I feel what you're saying about the chinese drinks. I'm drinking some chinese drink from my grandma now that involves ginger and black beans. She says that it'll make my dizzies go away. Ginger smells bad to me and so does the chinese medicine I've been drinking recently.

bacon, garlic bread, freshly baked bread, pineapple, mango, garlic black bean crabs, bbq, sesame oil, coffee, apples, cinnamon, fruity shampoo, D&G's Light Blue, roses, suntan lotion, baby smell, potpourri, scented candles, jasmine & lavender, early morning air.
