Fleet Week 2008

A month ago, it was Fleet Week in SF. The main attraction is the airshow featuring the Navy's Blue Angels. I think they're the coolest show around. I guess I've never been involved with the military, but I do find them fascinating. I enjoy military movies, documentaries, etc. The miliary has such a huge part in history...maybe that's one reason why I like it. Anyways, I used to live on Russian Hill in SF until we moved about 5 years ago. Every October, I'd climb to my roof to enjoy the show. Every show, every year is exciting. I've told AC many times that if there's one thing that I would not mind to have done in life, it was to strive to be a naval aviator. Well, my 20/20 was gone way before I could ever think about being a pilot (no LASIK back then...at least affordable). So, after a 5 year absence to the show, we were able to make it out there and found a spot to enjoy the show. It was on this curved hill of Larkin St. near my old high school, Galileo High (same HS where the infamous OJ Simpson attended). One of the more perfect clear view of the bay. It was great to be able to watch it for the first time with the family. Here's some pics that AC took with our little point n' shoot. Oh how I wish for a wide angle dSLR. :)
