I had lunch in LA at 5pm.....

Yeah, at 5pm...usually some are having dinner at that time.

Yesterday I was in LA, a relative type gathering. Went to some restaurant on Atlantic Ave for "yum cha".  I was quite the entire time. There wasn't anything good to eat. At this time it's definitly Lunch time. I barely ate anything. I just kept looking at my dad in front of me, he's using his chopsticks to signal for me to eat. I look at the food on the table, I just stare back at him. Then he uses his eyes to signal we have relatives, and don't be rude type of thing that they always do...So I pick up my chopsticks and got a little to eat....I was completely grossed out by the food!!! I mean literally.  In case your wondering which restaurant, it's the block down from Sun Fat, the supermarket. It has starbucks, and a whole lota other shops. Even has a escalator. Wasn't my pick at all to be at that restaurant, it was the pick from the relatives that we wanted to take out.  Bleck...

Then my aunt which I know alot and don't mind my self to be around. She says in front of everyone, "you look like one of those Miss HK contestants!" Inside thought (Someone kill me NOW!!!)  Everyone looked at me, I just bowed my head down the entire time. Disgruntled. She asks me, " Did you watch the show?" I look up, everyone looking at me, "No, that type of thing is not what I'm into." She responds, "Oh." Then stops picking on me.

I'm like okay I get it, you think I'm pretty. Last time you told me to compete for Miss HK, now I look like one?? .... auhggg.....

So ya barely ate a thing. Meeting over, went to dentist appt for sis, during her appt we went shopping. Dude that Hawaii supermarket has a whole tons of stuff!!!

When the doors first open, out comes the pungent order of Durian. My aunt, "Oh my god that smells like HEAVEN!!!" My dad, "where's the Durians at?", and looks around frantically for them.  Me, "somebody kill me now!!!"

I saw turtles!!! Then a cutie pie sitting in a shopping cart, telling her mom, "Mommy mommy, turtles, turtles, turtles!!!" The mom gets a little embarassed and looks at me, I smile and walk away from the turtles so her daughter can adore them. It was so cute watching that little kid.

Shopping ended.

Ya, up til 5pm on that day, my tummy rumbled and tumbled like there was no tomorrow. My dad was also. He barely ate anything either, since he was talking and asking questions. So we went back down to Broadway, he went into a I guess fast food chinese bakery?? He gets some "Dy Bow". I ate that in like 5 minutes..I was in heaven! Told my sister who can't eat yet, "This is REAL Food!!!"  My dad comes into the car after a while, he asks if I've eaten yet. I nod my head smiling like a little girl who just got a new barbie or something. He's looking at me like I'm lying. My sister told him I ate it fast. Dude I was hungry. "It was that good huh?", he said.  I wanted to kiss that Bow...hahaha it saved my life!  

Oh ya, my dad bought a durian that day. It was a fresh one. So ya you guessed it, it stunk up my car for like 5 hrs. I smelt it the entire time driving back home.  This morning when I got back into my car, I smelt it too. It's not in the car anymore, it's been out since last night. I can still smell it!!! *sigh* They're going to start eating it in half an hr...
