~ I'm an avid fan. A year ago, I did a search Google under "Alivenotdead," and managed to locate this website. It's always nice to read your idols' blogs, and see what information they have to share with us fans.

I'm not on the PC everyday, so I guess not.

Excellent! Not only have I been able to communicate with my idols, but also to make new friends; to share knowledge and experience with people from all around the globe - AnD is awesome! I've also been able to gain advice (from AnD friends).

5) What's one of the big main aspects for being on AnD?
Hmm... the question is open to various interpretations! Um... main aspect for being on AnD... would be reading Artists' blogs and exchanging messages with AnD friends! It's all about being a part of the AnD Culture! It's so lively in here, and what I admire about this website is that there is a lot of diversity and respect for each other, for individual views and opinions, unlike other websites where one blog may be interrogated by a list of unfriendly viewers. AnD creators take a zero tolerance approach to unacceptable virtual mannerisms (i.e. swearing and falsely claiming another identity), which creates a comfortable virtual environment. AnD appears to have attracted a 'mature-minded' audience which is fantastic!

I do use facebook (only, sometimes).

1) A lot. Depends on how busy I am, but I almost always have an AnD browser window open so I can refresh easily and see if there are any new feeds, new comments, new guestbook entries, etc.  I tend to have several browser windows open while I'm at work, so I can quickly switch between windows in between tasks and check on sites.  Kind of hard to estimate minutes/hours since it's sort of perpetual and spontaneous.

2) I came to AnD to support my friends!  AnD boys! W0000t!  But since I first signed up, I've found this site to be really awesome and I get to learn about all kinds of artists in all kinds of mediums.  And as I've gotten to know more ppl involved in the site, it's sorta like visiting friends.  So now I do it not just to support my friends (new and old alike), but to support the artists and to have a great time on the site!  And with all the other friends that have joined the site and blog on it.. I also visit it for the usual social networking reasons for other sites.  

3) Yes, everyday dagdangit day... cept when I was in Hawaii and had no internet access for a few days. =)

Well, I am kinna a fan of Dan, ever since Purple Rain & Gen-X. So happen one day I heard over the entertainment news that Dan wanna have a band with this 3 other guys and I wrote down the website name since then I am hooked up. Now it is more like a 'community' by its own now.

I met & made friends with lots of people, from all over the world. Some even turned close friends. We learn from one another. I say it is all fun..

Other than just being a fan of Dan or Alive, I think now AnD has been a good source for me to seek out new artistes and other artistic related talents that I might not know/notice of before. Getting to know these people up and personal is an great experience.

I love the attentiveness, dedication and accessability of the engineers who maintain a continuously high quality website.  It feels safe like Disneyland here and any weird or offensive matter or issue is dealt with professionally, diligently and quickly.  There is also the continuous and positive evolution of this website into a more user-friendy (and artist-friendly) environment.  Thumbs up!!!

This is two-fold.  One reason is to support narom, pat, and the rest of the bunch. The other is because I was a long-time member of the Jet Li website, so just came along for the ride.

Addictive and extremely positive.  Although I haven't had much time to branch out from my friends from the Jet Li website, when none of them are on, I browse other people's blogs as well.  I don't usually post or reply to any of them though, because I'm a bit shy. heh

Keeping in contact with people I had met on the Jet Li message boards and having an outlet for me to talk about whatever I want.

Nope.  Never found an interest in them, there wasn't as much of a community feel as this one has.

I think this survey was a great idea, and find it very interesting to interact with other people on this site.  The distinction here between friends and fans is also very helpful as you don't feel the necessity to say that someone is your friend when you don't necessarily know them, and they can still be part of your network.  The other good side to this is that I can read anyone's blogs regularly without feeling like I'm intruding upon them.  I find the summaries on the main page are helpful as well, as they can spark your interest and you can find things that would interest you without having to read through PAGES of unrelated stuff.   Thanks again for posting the survey, and good luck with your paper. :)
