In, Up, and Over

I am moved. I am also online again. After tomorrow, when the curtains are installed (shut up...), I will have the place to myself.

Although I am certainly open to visitors...

The place is still a godawful mess, but t least it's got everything in it.


The bedroom. Note mattress, 1 foot too wide. Joe College forgot his tape measure. Got the new one yesterday.


My mother likes to send me the toys and stuffed animals she saved from my childhood. And to be honest, how can I throw out something from my own childhood? She also sent me a new one last year (upper left), which I will give to Winsome.

The Office. This will look much better for about a day, then be similarly clogged but with different things...


The Couch of Death. The footstool (hassock) is on top of it. The room was too small for an L-shaped sofa, so I improvised.


My raison d'etre; the film monitor. Just today I had the guy hook up the internet but NOT the cable. He seemed confused.

The most hetero looking light fixture I could find. Oh, that's a whole blog by itself; the single straight man's quest for vaguely masculine household sh*t. Like air fresheners that don't sound like feminine hygiene products (Refreshing Breeze) or bath towels in nice simple dark colors... Never mind.

Do the important things first...


Sidney bought me the Guan Yu as a housewarming gift when I moved into my old flat. He got me the shrine for this move. If I move about a hundred more times, eventually he'll be buying the flat...

When the place gets more presentable I will take more pictures.

Which is why I have so few pictures of myself.
