    Bernie Mac died. He was one of the funniest and most insightful comics America ever had.

    He provided me with all the knowledge I'll ever need to live my own life as well as raise children  into decent, useful adults:

    "I don't believe sh*t until sh*t happens. Believe in yourself."

    "Quit cryin' all the godd@amn time. Do some pushups or somethin'."

    "If you're grown enough to talk back, you're grown enough to get f@#$ed up."

    The world isn't the same without him.

    I actually was the visual effects supervisor for the entire run of his show and one thing I gleamed from that was that he was a guy who definitely worked for his success.  He also was a rare talent that could make things funny even if the funny wasn't already there.
