  • cardboard fun!

    omigosh... I am soooooo tired...  but I am pretty much settled in my room now...  but damn, I do have a lot of stuff... way too much... I need to learn how to part with my things...  but to me, everything has a little or big memory... it's fun to look thru the stuff and remember a story that goes with the item...  putting the furniture together was fun... it was very rewarding... I'm not gonna share any pictures b/c then you'll see all my junk... hahaa... 

    anyhoo... I still have yet to buy a chair mat so I don't ruin the rug... so guess what I'm sitting on? my homework... yep...



    this is a cardboard stool I made from my first semester studying design... the requirements of the stool is that it must be portable and cannot be a stack of cardboard put together... it must have dimension... it took me a very long time to make this darn thing... I didn't use any kind of electrical tools... just the hand knife I have at home and gluing the pieces together... I remember for a couple weeks, the house was just filled with cardboard...

    here's how it becomes portable...




    the magic of cardboard, glue and velcro!!

    gotta catch up on my feeds now...

    How neat! The only thing I remember having to make was a Halloween costume out of recyclable materials in elementary school.

    oh wow, i'm impressed! hehe...

    yeah, i learned to part with my "things" when my family moved 3 times in 4 years!!!... the stuff i have with me now are either necessary or carry lots of sentimental value! i like sifting/ going through my stuff too. takes a long time, but the memories are good to revisit. =)

    That's really sweet!  I totally envision my future apartment furnished with nothing but cardboard furniture...haha!

    they actually sell these portable cardboard houses for around $10K!
