Food
I love Vietnamese sandwiches.
I can eat two of these at a time (but I only ate one
).
It's a ham sandwich with the pickled daikon, carrots and cucumber, pate, Chinese parsley, and some kind of ham-meat. No chili peppers were involved. The crunchy french bread is imperative.

Football
S.F. 49ers won their first conference game of the season last night. This is American football. Both teams were playing a bit sloppy; Arizona more so than SF. Arizona led by 3 points the last two minutes of the game. I wasn't entertaining any thoughts the 49ers would do much these last two minutes as they hadn't been very impressive or dynamic or effective the other 58 minutes of the game, except(!) for the strong performance of the secondary.
Then the SF quarterback Alex Smith ran for a 1st down with his chicken legs. It was getting exciting. Then the rare throw down the middle of the field to A. Battle (who fumbled but recovered by 49ers) to set them up at the 1 yard line with less than 40 seconds to play. Then the second touchdown of the game which put the 49ers in front.
Arizona tried some moves with the remaining time on the clock but ended up turning over the ball and then the game ended.
Dream
After writing the previous blog about a family matter, I dreamed that the family member and the spouse came over to my house for a BBQ. Everybody was cheery and all smiles - cordial, convivial. Not likely to see this in real-life.
