I came across this poem my friend's barely-6-year old daughter wrote.

There is Mommy

When we need a good gord (she means guard)
there is mommy.

When I want to play
there is mom!
Good mom.

When I need a good mom
there is mom.

(on the next page)
good gorde (next to a pic she drew of her mom reading some paper)
good teller - so I can play (next to a pic of her mom saying "yes")
good mom (next to a pic of the mom standing with the writer)

The daughter wrote it to her mom on Father's Day because she didn't want the mom feeling left out. So thoughtful.

I wrote (typed) a poem to my mom once for Mother's Day when I was younger. I signed and placed it in a picture frame before giving it to her. It's still in the living room next to all our pictures.
