My harvest moon

These few days of the full moon was an important time, in years past, for farmers. Before there became harvesting equipment and their lights, farmworkers relied on the moon for their light by which to work at in the fields. And the harvest moon at this time of year for three days was at its biggest (a moon illusion) and brightest.

My harvest moon as seen through a window with a screen. Beautiful.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! I saw the moon last night it was beautiful. Hope it is the same tonight. My Chloe was singing happy birthday to the moon as she doesn't understand the festival so we told her it's the moon's birthday! HEEHEE
