My hometown's in the news

It seems any time my town is in the news, it's usually for some sort of crime. Today's story.

I don't live near where the bombs were found. I live in the "nicer" neighborhood.

With the internet nowadays, bombs can be made by anyone and it is so terrifying. It doesn't seem like a day goes by without our papers saying the police have arrested people for making bombs, How long will it be before one slips through their fingers though

Sadly though...what News nowadays is really good news that is not about crime or violence. I think we, as the audience, have become "trained" to be attracted to this kind of material by the media...If the news media suddenly switched to all "good" news stories...ratings will suffer...and that's not good business...which leads the to bottom line...$$$. Sadly, this is the current state of news journalism to the masses. I guess there is something to the old line of "Sex and Violence Sells". Boy, I digressed...

geez, thats a worry. Glad its not in your neighbourhood but sorry that it is in anybody's neighbourhood.

Americans have a Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Who knew?

Wow that is scary, especially when it hits close to home. There are some crazy people out there!
