Who, like me, is salivating over this cover story and its implications? I haven't read the article yet but I surmise it'll be a good 3 or 4 years (at least) before we see anything....

I've had the book for a couple of years now and haven't managed to get past chapter 1. I figure I still have plenty of time. ;DD Perhaps I ought to read the novel and then decide if I should be salivating over the (hopefully) upcoming maybe-movie.

I believe Peter and Fran have other projects they're currently working on so who knows what stage the scrīpt is in.

This magazine cover reminded me of The Two Towers movie soundtrack in which I popped in to listen to the track entitled Gollum's Song. I love the Rohan theme. On The Return of the King soundtrack, I do enjoy the Gondor theme. I think I'll be reviewing these CDs again....

I'm getting goose bumps with the music. Still. How weird is that? I feel an LOTR-viewing weekend coming up. This time on my new HDTV TV!

hehe I love the LOTR book and the Hobbit, I'm one of these weirdos that reads the book every couple of years.

The movies were good but I appreciate the Mag cover for telling it how it is >_~

Oh very cool....I loved all of the LOTR movies...but I only got around to reading the Hobbit and Fellowship...so this shoudl be good!

Oh I loved Gollum's Song, so hauntingly beautiful. Enjoy the marathon LOTR session. I love these films. *Fingers Crossed* that the Hobbit gets made. The trilogy was well worth the bum-numbing experience at the cinema.

btw. Still say you should put up your pictures, I'm sure they were very good :)

Well, he's still got two or three movies in line before this one, so it really is going to be a long while before he gets to this one. I think Sir Ian McKellan said something about being signed on for Gandalf when he was here for his Shakespeare plays.

I do hope Peter and New Line don't have another falling out.

I read that book a long long time ago in high school before I kicked off with the rest of the LOTR triology.

But it's a really good book if only they don't drag some things on like Tolkin. But eh....

Can't wait for the movie. Is it filming currently or still in talks?
