Ceramics

Well as I'm mentioned before to some of you, one of my most favorite hobbies is ceramics.

I was fortunate enough to take ceramics in high school. Great teacher as well, very enthusiastic, he encouraged everyone to use their own creativity while being assigned to projects.

First project was to create 4 plates. Each one has a different texture required. One which is not with me unfortunately. It was a plate with roses on it. It broke while I was painting it with glaze. It was an eye catcher, so much as to having many students handle my plate and break it about twice. The teacher got mad so he put it in a secret place just for me until he can put it into the kelm.

So here's the 3 plates. One with various layers, my name. I'm sure you can't really read it, it's missing some marks...hahaha Other one is of a sword, it's called the sword of earth, Anathros. The one in the back well, landscaping...

Then we got to do cups. I wasn't fortunate enough to make a goblet. Even though my teacher was wanting me to make one for a wedding couple. But time was short for school, had to end. There are 5 cups total, and I have them all.. But only 4 show in this pic. So ha! lol you probably see my hand in there with a camera...lol it's in a cabinet with mirrors at the back.

As you guys know, I love pandas. This one cup needed to have a face protruding out from the side. So I chose to have a panda. Around it are two bamboo sticks, he's sticking his head out between them. I just thought it was totally cute. My parents tell me it looks like a pig more then a panda.  

I swear it looks like my Cuddles except with those lines around it's eyes...

If I could I would have glazed them, but school was ending yet again. And my rose plate broke....*sigh* that was the best one ever. It's suppose to be textured as if a blind person was to touch it and know exactly what it is. So yes, real looking roses on a plate. Darn....*kicks self* If only I can make it once again, I'd so do it in a flash.
