Man all my 23 yrs with him, he's just been really great! Even during the times I got beaten with the end of a metal fly swater....ouchhhhhhhh
those marks wouldn't go away for 3 weeks...
But I haven't been bad since I was a little kiddie. At least not that bad..hahaha I don't think...
Other then the tramautic experiences in the ERs with him, I still always remember the good old things about him. He's always been sweet and kind. He always saves the last piece of dessert for me or at least I think..lol...ya I'm his little girl.
Always been. I've always followed him to work and back home while my two other sisters were at our family restuarant in town.
This is exactly how I learned to drive at 14 or 13 yrs old. I'd always sit next to him and ask him questions about driving and watch what he does to make the car go or stop and switch the clutch gear. He actually let me sometimes hold the wheel without his help until I couldn't take it cuz my arm would hurt being stretched out for so long of driving. Then he'd teach me to use the clutch..I can tell ya, it's not fun..hahaha I did one wrong move and whamo...no more driving for me..lol...But man those clutches are hard to drive...geez....
I went out with dad and worked on the trees/orchard farm at home. Yeppers..that's out. That's what I do when I get back home every Friday-Sunday. I work. That's how I stay fit! *shows some muscles off* It's hard labor! You've got your pruning and all that stuff. Man...I don't wanna go back home!! hahaha
I remember there was a time when my sister,me & dad were going to LA on highway 65 going to Bakersfield we saw a wild dog (not domesticated, maybe a wolf) my dad points ahead and says "Dingo!" We go ya...how cute, look at it run across the road without being ran over...ya..I was driving...lucky little sucker. Then jumped over a fence and into the field it went. Then I think for a minute or two...when did the U.S. get dingos??? then I asked dad. He started busting up laughing.
But if you don't know. Dingos are native to Austrialia...not here in the U.S.A. hahaha..... He's lived in Aussie for quite some time.
Now whenever my sister and I or just me see a wild dog/fox or whatever run across the street, we'd say "DINGO!!!" hahaha then laugh our bootys off.
Then I was watching the spanish channel because there's a animal special on the weekends. So he was eating breakfast, and there was a wolf, I look over to my dad and say to him, "dad look at the dingo!" But then the next minute they actually showed a dingo and he didn't see the wolf. He saw the dingo....haha
Bonding, ain't that just great!
My daddy and his dingos...lol
He taught me how to ride a bike, an over sized bike for a little 10 yr old. I mean an adult bike. Fun...I'm the only one out of my sisters to actually know how to ride a bike at a young age. My middle one is too chicken to try and my big sister I think she recently took that up with her daughter.
I remember always falling off of it and scrapping my knees and having the bike crush my body...lol learning to ride it with only 2 wheels cuz I can but with my smaller bike. I actually hurt my self so much I cried. It started raining that day, my dad took me back into the house and said, "tomorrow". I cried when I cleaned my wounds up..ouchhhhhh....(then he'd pat me on my head while I pout and he'd smile then left me alone) Independence...that's how you teach a child. But you still motivate them and watch them. I think this might answer Peacheys blog..haha I think I sorta went off into tangents with her. You let them be on their own and see how they handle things. That's how it's best implemented, so you know when not to baby them. I imitated my dad for a long time, he knew when it was the right time to let me do things on my own.
I love my dad!
